G4S Compliance & Investigations, formerly MJM Investigations, Inc, was established July 26, 1989 in Raleigh, NC as a licensed private investigations company. It was funded with $35,000 start up capital and initiated operations with only seven employees. Its focus was specifically targeted at video surveillance and building a national platform.
2009
- MJM Investigations changed its name to G4S Compliance & Investigations, reorganized its services into eight core solution groups including the newly formed Corporate Solutions, and launched a new brand identity. The goal of the name change is to better reflect the company’s market share, its products and service offerings.
- G4S Compliance & Investigations launches eight compelling business models: Corporate, Surveillance, Claims, Hotline, Fire, SIU, Employment Screening and Research Solutions.
2006
- Completed acquisition of Crawford Investigative Services and secured a global service agreement with Crawford and Company
- Completed acquisition of Canadian market leader, Northwood & Associates
- Continued our international growth which accounted for 18% of 2006 overall revenues
- Launched new branding on a global basis
2005
- Rolled out the first Memorial Scholarship program
- Launched new Account Management Department
- Launched Independent Adjusting network to the marketplace
- Acquired Australian investigations company – Milne & Associates
- Sold Fraud International magazine to national publication, Claims magazine and sold Fraud
- Events conference to the Australasian Claims Expo

- Established MJM Investigations International LLC to facilitate international partnership opportunities
- Expanded Advisory Board to include key business leaders and industry leaders from the insurance executive arena
- Launched Fire Origin and Cause Business Unit

- Secured our first national outsourced SIU contract
- Established Michael & Cole Publishing LLC to acquire the Australian magazine and conference business, The Investigator Pty Ltd. Acquired the business in April and renamed The Investigator magazine to Fraud International
- Through Michael & Cole, staged and hosted annual Asia Pacific region Fraud Events conference in Sydney, Australia
2002
- G4S Compliance & Investigations ranks #6 for the Fast 50, as one of the fastest growing companies in the Triangle area
- Michael J. Malone is named Entrebizneur of the Year for the Triangle area by the Business Leader Magazine
2001
- Secured our first national contract including a vendor management component
- With this partnership, also launched our first private labeling of our work product and our first hosting of an interactive client web site
- Established Malone Group LLC for the purposes of constructing and purchasing our current home office facility

- Implemented web-based customer service delivery platform (G4S® CaseTrakTM)
